Small Grant Program

The Foundation for a Resilient Montpelier is pleased to announce the opening of an application period for its annual Small Grant Program. This program carries on the Montpelier Foundation’s role held since 1994 - to provide funding for bricks-and-mortar projects that make life better in Montpelier. For 2026, there is $10,000 in funds available for grants with a simple application to apply.   See below for more details and for examples of projects funded in previous years.

Applications are due April 30, 2026. 

Small Grant Program

Key Application Details:

  • Program: Foundation for Resilient Montpelier Small Grant Program

  • Criteria: Bricks and Mortar projects with a 20-year life span that provide long-term public benefits in Montpelier

  • Grant Size: Most grants will range from $1,000 to $5,000. 

  • Deadline: All applications must be submitted by April 30.

“The funds that enable this grant program have a long history of supporting great projects, from the pedestrian bridge at North Branch Nature Center to the Montpelier War Memorial in front of City Hall,” noted Board Chair Sarah Jarvis. “Community-focused organizations with Montpelier projects are encouraged to apply.” ​​
