A Rivers Edge Master Plan for Montpelier

Foundation for a Resilient Montpelier is excited to partner with the City to develop a comprehensive plan — the Rivers Edge Action Plan (REAP) — for the revitalization and enhancement of its river’s edge. This initiative aims to create a vibrant and accessible riverfront that benefits the community, improves flood resilience, and enhances the city's connection to its natural resources.

Hiring a planning consultant

A planning consultant will play a key role in supporting the Rivers Edge Action Plan process and producing a final plan. A Request for Proposals (RFP) has been published with a deadline of October 30, 2026. Click here to download a copy of the RFP.
